What are your hours?
Wednesday - Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Do I need to make an appointment?
In order to provide the very best experience, we recommend making an appointment. We do our very best to accommodate walk-ins; however, an appointment will guarantee that you have a consultant to walk you through the process of finding your dream dress!
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Please arrive at the time in which your appointment is scheduled. There are often appointments immediately before you (especially on a Saturday!) and we will most likely not be able to accommodate you early.
Where should I park?
We have a parking lot with designated spaces for Mary Elizabeth’s Bridal right in front of the store, making it less of a hassle to find parking downtown! On Saturday’s, you are welcome to park in any other spaces except for A&R Workshop’s.
How long are appointments?
Appointments are approximately an hour and a half. This is usually the ideal amount of time to try on several gowns, narrow down your selection, and choose your wedding dress without feeling rushed. Of course, should you need more time, we will schedule you for a return visit!
How many people can I bring with me?
We have a limit of 5 people. We would love to meet all the special people in your life, but it gets quite crowded with more than 5 guests. We also find that the more people you bring, the more likely you are to get confused are overwhelmed (believe us, it’s just not a good idea!)
What do I need to wear?
Many brides-to-be find it beneficial to wear shapewear during their consultation. However, others find that a strapless bra and full coverage panties work just fine. A consultant will be in the dressing room assisting you, so it’s best to wear your more ‘conservative’ undergarments. Since you will be trying on samples that other people will be trying on, it is a requirement to wear underwear during your fittings.
We also ask that you do not wear heavy makeup, perfume, or lotions as they can damage the dresses.
Can I take pictures?
Sure! We also have WiFi if you want to Skype/FaceTime with someone important who couldn’t make it.
How far in advance should I order my dress?
Wedding dresses can take up to 7 months to come in. Bridesmaids and mothers dresses can take up to 4 months. If you need a dress sooner than that, there are other options such as rushing an order, ordering a dress from stock, purchasing a sample gown, or purchasing a dress from our discontinued rack. Your stylist will be able to assist you with these options.
What is the price range of the gowns in your store?
Our bridal gowns range from $900 to $3,000, bridesmaids dresses range from $150-$300, and Mothers dresses range from $300-$800.
What sizes do you offer?
Our wedding gown samples range from size 8 to 28. Most of our Bridal and Bridesmaid dresses are available to order in sizes 2-28. Keep in mind: bridal sizes run slightly smaller than regular clothing, so if you are usually a size 10 in casual wear, you would probably wear a size 12-14 in bridal dresses.
How do I know what size wedding dress to order?
The manufacturer suggests ordering based on the bride’s fullest measurement and based on the designer’s specific size chart. Your stylist will measure you and recommend the most appropriate size based on your measurements; however, size choice is ultimately your decision. It is important to remember that wedding dresses do not fit like regular clothing and generally require alterations to achieve the desired fit.
How do I pay for my dress?
All special order merchandise is to be paid either in full, or requires a 50% deposit with monthly payments for up to 6 months. We accept all credit cards, debit cards, and cash.
Will you contact me as soon as my dress arrives?
Absolutely! The day that your dress is delivered, we will call you to let you know. If you are planning on doing alterations with us, we will set you up for your initial alteration appointment at this time. You are welcome to pick up your dress; or we can store it for free the first month, and then be charged a small fee every month after that.
If you live out of town, we are happy to ship your dress to you!
Do you provide alterations?
Yes! We have a fabulous seamstress who will take appointments in the store for bridal gown fittings to make sure your dress is altered perfectly to your needs. We recommend alterations begin 2 or 3 months before your wedding date.
We charge a $25 fee for in-house alterations, due at the initial alteration consultation.
How do I order my bridesmaids dresses with you?
As the bride, once you have selected the style and color of the dress, we will take care of the rest for you! We will collect a list of your bridesmaids and their contact information in order to collect measurements, sizes, and payments. Before the dress can be ordered, a 50% deposit is required.
